Backstabbing for Beginners is a 2018 political thriller directed and co-written by Per Fly, and based on eponymous memoir Michael Soussan. It follows a real-life corruption scandal in the United Nations Oil-for-Food Program, and starring Theo James and Ben Kingsley.

Production
Josh Hutcherson was originally set to star in the movie but was out and replaced by Theo James. The filming began in March 2016 in Marrakech, Morocco. Part of the filming took place in Copenhagen in April 2016.
Release
In June 2017, A24 and DirecTV Cinema acquired US distribution rights for the film. The film was released in Denmark on January 18, 2018.- The film was released via DirecTV Cinema on March 22, 2018, before it was released in a limited release on April 27, 2018.
