Basic principles
The Letter of Shabda Yoga is for the discovery of the True Self (Self Realization), True Essence (Spirit Realization), and True Divinity > (Realization-God) while living in the physical body of man. It involves reuniting gradually with the so-called "The Nature of the Absolute," also known as "Shabd". Achieving this level of self-realization is believed to result in jivan moksha/mukti , which is the release/release of samsara and positive in the karmic and reincarnation cycle. Initiation by contemporary life Satguru (Sat - true, Teachers) is considered a prerequisite for successful sadhana (spiritual practice). The sadhanas includes simran (repetition, specifically the silent repetition of the spell given at initiation), dhyan ( concentration, seeing, or contemplation, especially on the Inner Master), and bhajan (listening to the inner sounds of Shabd ).
Surah Shabd Yoga has appeared in India in the last few hundred years, especially in the Sikh (Nanakpanthi) tradition founded by Guru Nanak. The practice of meditation (shabd), which is the main core practice of Surat Shabd Yoga, comes from ancient Hindu practice n? Da yoga . The tone of yoga is described in various Hindu books such as Nadabindu Upanishad, an ancient text affiliated with thousands-year-old Rig Veda. The practice of yoga in Hinduism has been widely affiliated in many yoga traditions including devotional or devotional yoga, kundalini and tantra. yoga , yoga laya , and king of yoga . Modern Hindu teachers still emphasize the tone of yoga including Swami Sivananda, Swami Rama, Rammurti Mishra (Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati), Paramahansa Yogananda (Kriya Yoga Lineage), and many others. Exercise n? Da yoga is an integral part of many other traditions as well, as is the advanced thogal practice form in the Tibetan Dzogchen genealogy, and is mentioned by HP Blavatsky, founder of Theosophical Society in his book "The Voice of the Silence ". The Shabd Yoga Shape, practiced by Sant Mat followers and Sikh traditions ( nanakpanthi ), is most often associated with n? Da yoga . Next, n? Da yoga resembles and combines elements of Hindu yoga , yoga laya , and yoga practice practice.
Movements and masters
The believers of Shabda Yoga have been expressed through the movements of many different teachers. However, the basic principle of the Shabd Yoga tradition is the requirement for the outside Master of Life to start a follower on the Way. The movements that his historical Siblings have died and their successors do not claim to be Shabd Yoga Satgurus, are not usually considered today the Sabbath Yoga movement, either by their own leaders or by the movement with the current Living Masters.
Sadguru Maharshi Mehi The Paramahansa Ji Maharaj is the great saint of the 20th century. He came to the isolated and isolated Kuppaghat cave, Bhagalpur (Bihar, India). This cave is located on the banks of the sacred Ganges river. He cleansed the cave that was too long inside and started his constant hard training of Surat-Shabda Yoga from March 1933 - November 1934. He achieved self-realization and achieved ultimate salvation during his practice. This cave has been a sacred proof of its spiritual aura. He embodies the knowledge he experiences himself in his books "Moksha-Darshan (The Philosophy of Salvation)," Satsang-Yoga "," Shri Gita-Yoga Prakash "," Raamcharit Maanas Saar-Satik "," Maharshi-Mehi- Beginning "and many others." Maharshi-Mehi-Padawaali "is a collection of prose written by Him because it is the time He began the constant and unceasing meditation of Drishti-Yoga and Surat-Shabda Yoga.
The Radhasoami movement of the Shabda Yoga Letter was founded by Shiv Dayal Singh (1818-1878) in 1861 and was named "Radhasoami Satsang" around 1866. Soamiji Maharaj, as he was known, presided over the seventeen-year-old satsang meeting at Panni Gali and Soami Bagh in Agra, India, until he died on June 15, 1878. The story of the teachers and his successors varied, although he gave verbal instructions on his last day of how his followers should be concerned. According to Radha Soami Satsang Beas, his teacher is Tulsi Sahib from Hathras. According to the successors of Soami Bagh and Dayal Bagh, Tulsi Sahib was a contemporary teacher of the same doctrine; but as a natural born Satguru, Shiv Dayal Singh himself does not have a teacher.
After his death, six direct successors practiced the teachings of Shiv Dayal Singh, including Huzur Maharaj Rai Salig Ram of Peepal Mandi, Agra, and Babaji Maharaj Jaimal Singh from Dera Baba Jaimal Singh who is now headquarter (RSSB), Radha Soami Satsang Beas. More information about the living masters associated with the lineage of Shiv Dayal Singh can be found in the contemporary Sant Mat movement article.
Sant Kirpal Singh, a contemporary Sant Mat teacher, states that "Naam" ("Kata") has been described in many traditions through the use of several different terms. In his teaching, the following expressions are interpreted as identical to "Naam":
-
- "Naad", "Akash Bani", and "Sruti" on Veda
- "Tones" and "Udgits" in Upanishad
- "Logos" and "Word" in the New Testament
- "Tao" by Lao Zi
- "Music of the Spheres" by Pythagoras
- "Sraosha" by Zoraster
- "Kalma" and "Kalam-i-Qadim" in the Qur'an
- "Naam", "Akhand Kirtan", and "Sacha ('True') Shabd" by Guru Granth Sahib
The recently enforced Quan Yin meditation method adopted through Supreme Master Ching Hai's spiritual teachings has similarities to Shabd Yoga.
Eckankar, an American movement, has many connections with Shabd Yoga including terminology, although American founder Paul Twitchell separated himself from his former teacher, Kirpal Singh.
The Spiritual Mind-Awareness Movement, also founded in America in 1971 by John-Roger and now with students in thirty-two countries, also teaches a similar form of active meditation called spiritual practice. This movement uses the Sound Stream and ancient Sanskrit tones to cross and return to the higher realms of the Spirit and into the Lord.
MasterPath is another contemporary American movement from Surat Shabda Yoga. Gary Olsen, the current Living Master of this branch, argues that some historical figures are Professors of Shabda Yoga Letters as representatives for the everlasting Inner Shabda Master. Some of these Living Masters in their time included Lao Tsu, Jesus, Pythagoras, Socrates, Kabir, Sufi Master, and mystic poet, Hafez and Rumi, Guru Ten Sikhs beginning with Guru Nanak, Tulsi Sahib and Radhasoami/Radha Soami and offshoot Masters, including Shiv Dayal Singh, Baba Sawan Singh, Baba Faqir Chand, and Sant Kirpal Singh.
Ten Sikh Satgurus (Nanak Panthis) discusses many inner sounds and inner light in their scriptures. The first Sikh Satguru is Guru Nanak, but his master (teacher) is Waheguru. These gentlemen teach these two techniques. There is a teacher, [1] Satpal Maharaj, who teaches four techniques that include two inner light and this inner music. Overall he teaches the inner light (vision), inner music (hearing), primordial vibrations (sense senses), and nectar (taste and smell).
It fits into the senses, and this is how a student turns them in to experiencing what's inside of him. See Vishnu with his four arms and they are in line with this. One hand holds a circle (chakra) of light, one holds the snail shell to the inner voice (holds it to the ear and sounds), one holds the lotus flower to refer to the nectar, and finally the fourth hand holds a metal club (mace) (if you hit something with it, it vibrates like a tuning fork). Some people call this inner energy as a soul.
The two names above have been changed. Under the same paragraph is written again with new names based on Wikipedia sources.
The Ten Sikhs of Satgurus speak of inner sounds and inner lights in their scriptures. Sikh Satguru first was Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, but his master was Waheguru. Wikipedia says: "Kabir's early life was not well established. [7]: 14 In Indian tradition, he normally lived for 120 years from 1398 to 1518, which" allowed him to be associated with other famous personalities such as Guru Nanak. "But none of this is written anywhere or proven but both personalities use Gurmukhi to write 'Bani'.

Variations in motion
Among the exponents of Surat Shabd Yoga and the common elements associated with the basic principles, important variations also exist. For example, orthodox Sikh faith followers no longer emphasize a contemporary living teacher. Different Shabd Yoga Paths will vary in the names used to describe the Supreme Being (God), including Anami Purush (nameless power) and Radha Soami (soul ruler); the chief gods and divisions of the macrocosm; number of outer initiation; words given as mantras; and promises of initiation or prerequisites to be approved before being accepted as initiates.
